Independence Mission Schools (IMS) is a non-profit network of 14 Pre-K to 8th grade elementary schools re-envisioning urban Catholic education in and around the city of Philadelphia. IMS schools are mission-driven to provide a rigorous academic education to students of all faiths. Our schools have approximately 3,750 students and have been beacons of hope for families from all backgrounds for generations. The Senior Manager of Network Enrollment will lead enrollment management efforts for all 14 IMS schools by creating a strong awareness among various constituents (prospective students and families, current students and families, community members) that showcases the school as the ideal choice for their child. The Senior Manager will also support the efforts of school-based enrollment staff by ensuring efficient, effective, and strategic application, admissions, and enrollment processes at each school. 

 

Core Functions

  • Outreach and Awareness:
    • Uses data and research to create an overall enrollment strategy and implementation plan, realizing that each school has a unique culture and structure.
    • Works collaboratively with the Chief Operating Officer, the Marketing & Communications Team, School Leaders, and local school Advisory Councils to develop relationships and opportunities to enhance enrollment.
    • In concert with IMS marketing partners, oversees marketing campaigns, develops promotional materials for schools for programs and highlights initiatives that promote enrollment.
    • Gives presentations, in a variety of settings, to promote enrollment at IMS schools.
    • Contributes to social media platforms for admissions and enrollment related posts.
  • Process Improvements:
    • Assesses school-level processes for admissions and makes recommendations for improvements at the school and network-level.
    • Monitors network and school-level admissions data to support leaders in achieving the enrollment goals
    • Provides regular training and direct support for enrollment staff to ensure procedures for admissions are efficient and effective, with an emphasis on data-driven practices and customer-service to families.

 

Daily 

 

  • Manages, analyzes, and reports on network and school-level enrollment data
  • Supports school-level teams’ “on-the-ground” enrollment efforts 
  • Visits schools frequently to assist with admissions and enrollment related events and outreach
  • Trains new school-level staff on the technical enrollment processes, network enrollment policies and expectations, and strategic best practices 
  • Provides regular and ongoing training and professional to current school-level staff 
  • Develops and manages overall enrollment market strategy, leading both digital and traditional campaigns
  • Owns relationships with key external partners (marketing consultants, printers and promotional merchandisers, web designers, etc.)
  • Work with Finance and Operations teams to set budget and enrollment targets

 

 

Education Experience and Skills Required

  • Bachelor's Degree (required)
  • 3-5 years enrollment management experience preferably in an education setting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven ability to work with all stakeholders.
  • A strong respect for the philosophy, mission, and core values of a Catholic education.
  • Strong management and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to formulate strategic plans and implement the same.
